You have spent many months planning your wedding to ensure that every detail is perfect but have you thought about your Wedding Day Emergency Kit? You know what I’m talking about – the little things that you absolutely need and must have on your wedding day or heaven forbid the day will fall apart.

Hopefully, you hired a Wedding Planner who comes prepared on the wedding day with everything but the kitchen sink!  You name it she has it – from Band-Aids and Tums for your tummy to Hair Pins, Safety Pins and Fashion Tape. A good Wedding Planner is always well prepared.

However, should you be daring enough to take on your wedding without a Wedding Planner, here is a list of “must-haves” for your wedding day.

  1. Sewing Kit. A well-stocked sewing kit will save your day. Make sure it includes: sewing needles, safety pins, thread, scissors, hem tape, fashion tape, lint roller, steamer, stain remover, static guard.
  1. Hair & Make Up. It’s so important to come prepared with these essential items: eye cream, face cream, lipstick, lip gloss, chapstick, vaseline, foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, mascara, make up remover, facial wipes, Q-tips, cotton balls, oil absorbing sheets, baby powder, deodorant, perfume, body spray, tweezers, tissues, mirror, nail polish, nail polish remover, nail file, nail glue, nail scissors, hair ties, bobby pins, brush, comb, hair spray, dry shampoo.
  1. Medications & First Aid. Your wedding day should be perfect but unfortunately if a headache or nasty cold strikes, you should be prepared with the following items: pain relievers such as Tylenol, Advil and Ibuprofen, cold medication such as Dristan and Tylenol Cold & Sinus, personal medication, band aids, polysporin, tums, pepto-bismol, smelling salts, bug spray, sunscreen.
  1. Food. With all the wedding excitement, it’s easy to forget to eat and drink. It’s important to do both so you don’t feel ill or lightheaded before the ceremony. Some easy food items to keep nearby for the bridal party include party sandwiches, vegetable platter, fruit, protein bars, granola bars, water, juice and soft drinks.
  1. Miscellaneous. Drinking straw so you don’t smudge your lipstick, clear nail polish to stop runs in nylons, super glue to fix a broken heel or shoes, comfortable shoes for dancing, gum, mints, candy, tooth brush, tooth paste, dental floss, female sanitary supplies, cellphone, cellphone charger, cash, disposable cameras, extra pantyhose, jewelry and accessories.

Hopefully these items will save the day in an emergency but should you forget something, don’t sweat it. Your wedding will still be amazing!
